Samsung has a new deal going for the Galaxy Watch6 in the US, and it’s a very, very good one. Basically, if you buy a Galaxy Watch6, in either 40mm or 44mm, with either Bluetooth & Wi-Fi or Bluetooth, Wi-Fi & 4G LTE versions, you can add a second Watch6 to your cart and pay absolutely nothing for it.

So, two for the price of one. “Buy one, get one free” as they say. The expected caveat is that if you select two watches that have different prices, you will pay for the more expensive one and get the cheaper one for free.

Motorola announced the Edge 50 Fusion upper-midrange smartphone in mid-April for Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Latin America, and now the device is almost ready to make its debut in India as well.

The Edge 50 Fusion will be launching in India on May 16, according to Motorola itself. It will be offered through Motorola’s own Indian website, as well as Flipkart and “all leading retail stores”.

Samsung launched its first OLED monitor only a year ago – the 34” Odyssey OLED G8 (G85SB) – and it has already climbed to the top of that market. Based on data from IDC, Samsung accounted for 28.3% of the number of OLED monitors sold globally in 2023.

In terms of revenue, the company took in 34.7% of the total revenue from OLED monitor sales.

Most recently, the company unveiled several Odyssey OLED monitors at CES 2024. These were the curved 49” G95SD and a pair of flat options, the 32” G80SD and 27” G60SD. The 49” model was named CES 2024 Innovation Awards Honoree.

TrendForce’s latest report projects that Apple will ship between 4.5 and 5 million OLED iPad Pros this year. That’s the 11-inch and 13-inch combined, and it’s a lower sales volume expectation than their LCD and mini-LED-equipped predecessors.

TrendForce notes that despite the reduced shipment projection, the move to AMOLED on medium-sized devices is a major milestone for the industry.

The report expects AMOLED tablets to hit 9 million units in 2024, about 7% of the tablet market.

Motorola’s Razr 40 Ultra made its debut in June last year, and we’re now in May so its successor is bound to appear soon. Ahead of its release, today the Razr 50 Ultra’s price for the Eurozone has been leaked, purportedly from an Italian retailer.

The screenshot below is allegedly from said unnamed retailer’s internal systems, and shows that the Razr 50 Ultra will be priced at €1,200. That currently translates into $1,288, but keep in mind that the US pricing definitely won’t be that, as it’s not how international price conversions work. The US government has allegedly revoked Qualcomm’s and Intel’s licenses to sell chips to Huawei, according to a new report from Reuters today. While the US Commerce Department has issued a statement saying it’s “revoked certain licenses for exports to Huawei”, it hasn’t named names.

Still, if today’s report is accurate, it most likely means Huawei won’t be able to use chips from either Qualcomm or Intel going forward, which will basically ensure it can’t make any more laptops, unless there’s some workaround that hasn’t yet been detailed.

Google has finally brought its new Wallet app to India. You can download it from the Play Store. This gives you a “single, organized destination for fast, secure access to your everyday essentials”, Google says – things like boarding passes, loyalty cards, event tickets, public transport tickets, and gift cards.

Payments are missing as you can see, but that’s because, unlike everywhere else in the world, in India the Google Pay app remains available “for all things payments”.
