Hot on the heels of the stable iOS 16.2 update, Apple is seeding the 16.3 version to its beta program.

There isn’t anything flashy in the beta, but the tech giant now allows users to lock down their phones with physical two-factor authentication keys. This feature is supposed to roll out to all iPhone users in 2023, so it makes sense that it’s being tested now.

These devices are things like the Yubi key and other keys approved by the FIDO alliance. It’s expected that the next iPadOS and macOS betas will also support these physical security keys.

Other aspects of the update include more protections for iCloud. With the update, users can choose to encrypt almost everything stored in iCloud. Previously it was only health and password data were encrypted.

Beyond that, there’s a new graphic showing users how to use the Handoff features that exist between the HomePod and iPhone.

Aside from the online deals, some RedFlagDeals users were able to get a deal on the iPhone 14, nabbing it plus the 40GB plan for $75/mo total. Based on the details shared on RFD, it seems like Virgin is offering some bill credit or other discount since online the iPhone 14 costs $47.12/mo financing. The deal does seem to be in-store only, however, so your mileage may vary.

Google is back with hot holiday deals, including a $70 discount on the Pixel Watch.

Hogwarts Legacy has been delayed on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One until April 4th, while the Nintendo Switch version is coming on July 25th.

The Harry Potter title was initially slated for 2021, but it was later pushed back to 2022 and then 2023. If you’re on a current-gen console, you can actually purchase the Deluxe Edition and get the game 72 hours ahead of release.

Hogwarts Legacy is an open-world action role-playing game set in the 1800s. The game allows you to make your own Hogwarts student in their fifth year, and learn spells, make friends, ride brooms, bond with magical animals and more.

Hogwarts Legacy will launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on February 10, 2023, with the 72 hour early access beginning on February 7, 2023.

PlayStation has revealed that Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will launch exclusively on the PlayStation 5 in fall 2023.

The publisher confirmed the release window in a PlayStation Blog post looking ahead to next year’s major game releases. A writer on the game had seemingly leaked a fall 2023 launch on their since-updated website, and PlayStation is now confirming this timing. Insomniac had previously only provided a vague “2023” window.

First unveiled during the September 2021 PlayStation 5 Showcase, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is developer Insomniac’s direct sequel to both 2018’s Marvel’s Spider-Man and 2020’s Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales.

Little is known about the game currently, other than the fact that both Peter Parker and Miles Morales will be playable and Venom will be one of the main villains. It’s also been confirmed that Yuri Lowenthal and Nadji Jeter will reprise their roles of Peter and Miles, respectively, while Candyman‘s Tony Todd will voice Venom.

It should be noted that Insomniac is also working on Marvel’s Wolverine, although a release window for the X-Men game has yet to be confirmed.

Elsewhere in the blog post, PlayStation highlighted several other 2023 releases, including Square Enix’s Forspoken (January 24th), the DualSense Edge controller (January 26th), Hogwarts Legacy and PlayStation VR2 (February 22nd), Destiny 2: Lightfall (February 28th), Resident Evil 4 (March 24th) and Final Fantasy XVI (June 22nd). Forspoken and Final Fantasy XVI are PS5 console exclusives, while Hogwarts Legacy, Destiny 2: Lightfall and Resident Evil 4 are multiplatform.
