iPhone 17 Slim to be more expensive than the iPhone 17 Pro Max

We’ve already heard that Apple is revamping its iPhone lineup next year, retiring the Plus model and launching a Slim one instead. But so far we thought the iPhone 17 Slim would be similarly positioned to the Plus, only thinner.

According to a new report today, that won’t be the case. Instead, the iPhone 17 Slim will be the most premium of the bunch, and thus more expensive than even the iPhone 17 Pro Max, believe it or not.

Apple seems to love thinness these days, having recently released the thinnest device it’s ever made in the 13″ iPad Pro, and is now apparently looking to trim…

Motorola Razr 50 / Razr 2024 specs leak

Motorola launched the Razr 40 and Razr 40 Ultra last June, and their successors are now very much on the way. We’ve already seen leaks detailing the Razr 50 Ultra’s specs and pricing, and today it’s time to turn out attention to the non-Ultra Razr 50 – which, we should add, is likely to launch in some places like North America as the Razr 2024.

This will allegedly come with a 6.9-inch pOLED folding screen with 1080×2640 resolution, and a 3.63-inch cover display with a 120 Hz refresh rate. That will definitely be the most obvious upgrade compared to its successor’s 1.5-inch cover…

Nubia Flip battery life test is ready

We’ve just completed the Nubia Flip battery test and we are ready to share the results with you. This affordable foldable boasts a 4,310mAh battery which is amongst the largest cells fitted in the clamshell foldable space. It’s also rocking a midrange Snapdragon 7 Gen 1, which shouldn’t be too power hungry, but is nearly two years old at this point.

With that in mind, Nubia Flip managed an Active use score of 8:39 hours which is less than stellar considering its rivals outshine it in direct comparisons. The 19:02 hour call time and 9:13 hour video playback scores are…

The new iPad Pro OLED tablets have grainy displays, multiple users report

Apple launched its first tablets with OLED displays, and it certainly brings a huge upgrade in terms of display quality. However, some early adopters are reporting issues with the panel. Multiple posts on Reddit reveal a strange grainy issue.

The opinions come mostly from user forums, and neither Apple nor Samsung Display have addressed it officially yet. The reports say that the grainy effect is visible from up close, and it is really bothersome for artists.

Speculations are this might be an issue with a misalignment of the two parts of what Apple calls “tandem OLED display”….

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6’s foldable screen to have a smaller crease

Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip6 is coming this July alongside the Galaxy Z Fold6, and it’s apparently going to feature a small but important upgrade. According to a new report from Samsung’s home of Korea, the Flip6 will use thicker ultra-thin glass (UTG) than its predecessor.

This will result in a less pronounced crease running through the middle of the folding screen, which is obviously good news considering how a lot of Samsung’s competitors now boast minimal, if not downright indiscernible creases.

Interestingly, this won’t be achieved by changing the design of…

Kuo: iPhone 16 Pro Max to bring higher-density battery

We recently saw some comparison images between the iPhone 15 Pro Max and the upcoming 16 Pro Max showcasing their size differences. Now, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo is reporting on the battery of the next-generation Pro Max iPhone, claiming it will feature a higher energy density.

iPhone 16 Pro Max vs. 15 Pro Max

According to Kuo, the iPhone 16 Pro Max’s higher-density battery will offer longer battery endurance in the same form factor as the current battery cell used in the 15 Pro Max. The higher-density battery will emit more heat which is why Apple is rumored to use a stainless…

Twitter.com now redirects to X.com

Back in July of last year, Elon Musk unveiled his plan to rebrand Twitter to X. This has been going on ever since, and today the final step is complete – the Twitter.com domain now redirects to X.com.

Previously, X.com links would redirect to Twitter.com, even though the UI of the service has featured the new name for months. Today, Elon Musk himself triumphantly announced on X (where else?) that all core systems are now using the X.com domain.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 appears on Geekbench

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 and Z Flip6 are getting their official debut on July 10 and despite all the rumors, there are still some missing pieces of the puzzle. Today’s Geekbench 6 listing, however, finally confirms what we suspected from the start.

Galaxy Z Fold6 Geekbench 6 listing

A Geekbench 6 scoresheet shows a carrier-locked Galaxy Z Fold6 running on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. The device scored a bit lower than your average SD8 Gen 3-powered handset, but that could be due it being a pre-production sample. Some additional tuning is always required before being…
